The carriers carry or not carry phones based on customer reaction, why you think the RAZR has been selling for almost 2 years now.The V-557 is still a good seller. my guess give it bout another 1-3 months for the v-557 to be gone and i'd say the V-235.It looks good and from what i heard will just as good of a seller as the v-551 and v-557.

Do you think the V235 is an upgrade to the V557?? I thought that phone was relatively new. On a different note, what are your thoughts on the W600i? Thinking about getting that phone as a back up to my 6682, but I had the S710a, and it had absolutely horrible reception in my area. I appreciate your insight.

I do think its an upgrade to the v-557.as to the W600i.Its good overall. the downside is that i talking to customers that they find it can drop calls more then some other phones, but the cusytomers also really love the camera quality on the phone as well as they like the "old school" style of the walkman in their Sony Ericsson.

If you are looking for a backup phone thats good rec...

I'd also say maybe wait for the new 6282 that way you could have the 6682 as your backup.

The 6282 is a non Symbian phone so I would hardly consider using it primarily over my 6682. In my opinion, its downgrade from my 6682.

The 235 is a basic clamshell phone with a camera. It in no way compares to the 557. Another note, the 235 is going to be exclusive to the national retailers (bestbuy, walmart, etc) I expect the 557 to be around until at least late summer. Then I think it'll be replaced with a 3G phone.

absolutly NOT! where's the bluetooth at? and it's Far from a w600i or v600 for that matter. the v551 and 557 are mid level phones not entry. this will be a brother to them 😎

Cingular opted not to carry the V635 due to problem with reception and the 850 mhz frequency. It was intended to be the replacement for the V600 last summer. I carried one for a little while that was from Europe and it was a wonderful phone.

By the way....T-Mobile never carried the V557. All the have is the V300 and V330.
