Check out the new phones coming according to this web site: http://www.mobiledia.com/carriers/cingular/up coming/page1.html

What a nice selection of phones to be released by Cingular, the Nokia 6126 looks especially great.

I noticed there are two Pantech phones that are supposted to be coming out on Cingular, one thin bar style and a small flip (can't remember the model numbers) that are not listed on the page.

Any news on when we might see some of the models that are listed on the web site?

If the posted web page doesn't work, just go to www.mobiledia.com and go to 'phones' at the top of the page, and scroll toward the bottom of page and click on carrier and then select 'upcoming' and that should work.

All the phones listed on that site aren't coming out.. It's wishful thinking.

many of them are coming 🙂 but not all.

As far as the pantechs go... well lets just say they will be out between now and the end of June. They were actually moved up from the original dates. One is c130, the other c300.

The one will be the smalled clam-shell in the US, which as we know, isn't always a good thing. (remember the siemens slider?)

Does anyone know when the 6126 from Nokia is coming to Cingular? Nice looking phone. I might get it once its out.

Currently have VZW, and their service is comparable to Cingular, but seems like when I use VZW, all the phones that I've had get hot (regardless of brand) and I get headaches (call me weird)....

I used to get headaches when using my v60c on Verizon also. You're not weird, "It's the Network". That changed when I switched to GSM (then AT&T Wireless), now I never get them.

Thanks, motohello for your feedback.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one experiencing those headaches and going paranoid.

I also noticed the phones at Verizon get "hot" after about 15-20 minutes of usage. Whereas, when I had Cingular phones (GSM) that was not an issue.

I read on another posting that the CDMA technology causes this to happen....wonder if that's true.

I think I'm going to switch back to Cingular because of the phone/headache issues....

Thanks again,

i had the same exact issues, but switched because of them. i got really tired of not having any options when it came to the latest technologies.

"i own this phone and i had a 3 hour conversation and noticed the exact same thing. its not samsung it is a common defect with CDMA technology because GSM (t mobile, Cingular) samsung phones are smaller, better audio, and dont get hot. Its verizons technology not samsungs."

I saw this post on the Verizon forum regarding phone getting hot.....interesting that it might be the technology of CDMA that gets hot.....anyone else out there experience the same issues?
