difference between quad and tri band phones

ok so i have asked a few qs here today and everyone has been hella supportiave and I thank you

may i ask one more

ive narrowed it down to the sony i600 and the nokia 6682 . the sony is a quad band where as the nokia doesnt have GSM 900

what difference if any will this make

None, unless you're going to other ****ries. Here in the USA we use the 850MHz and 1900MHz. The rest of the world uses 900MHz and 1800MHz. I'd say get the Nokia 6682. 😉

Some oversea countries use GSM 900. If you have a phone that doesn't have 900, and you go to a country that only uses 900, your phone won't work.

If you travel, check gsmworld.com to see if you'll need the 900.

if you are going to any western european country, you won't have a problem... that's why if a phone doesn't support 900, it has 1800... hence the cheaper rates to western europe countries. (i know it has more to do with the alliances we have with them and that gsm is the only network, but check out gsmworld.com, you will see what i mean, and if you are a cingular rep with access to card, chec...
