WTF? 30 day return policy, but only 3 days to get the activation fee waved?

WTF is the deal with this? Seriously, how can a company give you 30 "risk free" days to try out the phone and service, but only 3 days to cancel, and not pay the activation fees? What is the deal with this?

3 days is long enough to find out if the phone works at your home... what other carrier offers 30 days. that's the deal. do you not realize how much it costs a carrier to start a new account?

Yeah, maybe so, but what happens if you buy your phone on a long weekend like me, and don't plan on going back to work until Tuesday? 3 days is ridiculous, make it at least a week, that might be fair.

they exclude sundays and holidays. plus, the day you sign up service the company just lost anywhere between 250-400 dollars. they discounted the phone, gave you a number, added you to the billing system, ran the credit check... oh yea, credit checks cost companies money as well... so. honestly, three days is fair. i know we are arguing a mute point... but financially it makes sense...

What other carrier even gives you the chance to get your activation fee back? Last time I looked around, only Cingular offers a refund of your activation fee period.

Yeah, I don't understand why you should pay for your activation fee, if you are getting out of your contract. Shouldn't it be like your contract never happened?

What is that supposed mean? Quite honestly, I don't understand activation fees in the first place (a topic I already discussed), and 3 days seems kind of Indian-giveish.
