nokia 6620
I was told this phone could play mp3s as ringtones and mine will not but my friends will. his is about 1 yr old and I just got mine so is there a fix for this?

Cingular may have requested Nokia to place some sort of restriction on that feature. I had the ATTWS 6620 for a little over a year, and when I got the Cingular version, I had the same problem but never focused on getting it resolved. Sucks.

The one that does allow it has the original FW, like mine did. However you can convert it to a different format other than mp3 and it will work fine. The older FW would not allow you to program the joystick and soft keys but only certain programs. The upgraded FW lets you customize 6 good shortcuts to any programs on the phone (4 for the directional joystick) and 2 for the soft keys.
