No stray here, but What is there definition of "reliable". I do respect Verizon and there network but am confused by this term, or the statistical representation.

I stated just about the same in Verizon forum
But I have both Cingular and Verizon service and no complaints either way, they are very comparable.

I know the Cingular study...(!?) is based on their* exact definition of "dropped calls"

But, I cannot seem to find an explanation on Verizon's claim to "most reliable".
As I've stated I am very happy with both and at this point, if needed, would only choose one based on network to network calling.

*not looking to change anything, just looking for the info

The Results

The network reliability test results have consistently shown that the number of ineffective attempts for the Verizon Wireless national network, in major metropolitan centers and some remote areas, is lower than any other national carrier. The test results also indicate that calls that connect on the Verizon Wireless network are more likely to stay connected for the duration of the call. Read examples of our regional reliability studies.

And so we proudly stand behind our motto: "We Never Stop Working for You."

Riiiiight! Vzw's customer service closes at 8pm or 9pm (forgot) That's what you call "never stop working for you"
T-Mobile rules with its 24/7 CS. I wish we had 24/7 CS too! 😕
