there is no way you'd be able to get around that $50 charge. it's your deductable. how'd your phone get stolen? and why dont you feel you shouldn't have to pay the $50 bucks when insurance covers only LOST OR STOLEN 😳.

If you had an endorsement on your regular policy it would cost you $5 per year with no deductable.
before consumers want to get around the ETF when they breach the contract, now they want to not pay the deductable when they have insurance. what is this world coming to? lol.
you cant get out of it, plus its only $50 and is not the end of the world..
seriously, some consumers are very naive.
From nextel18's profile "
you might want to rethink this response you gave to a perfectly valid polite question.
might as well have no contracts on those postpaid phones also.
some consumers are very naive.
i dont know about your other question; "but is there any way of getting a phone with the 2 yr contract discount?"
I hate being the barer of bad news but I work for Cingular Wireless and have never seen lockline waive an insurance deductible. In some situations I have seen customers request a different model (but comparable in price) and lockline complied, but it doesn’t happen too often.
Don’t know if that will help, but I hope it does.
... otherwise, you wait.
for instance:
59 - 900 minutes
20 - medianet
=====
79 /mo + tax
Why should you be the priveleged one who doesn't have the pay the deductible? How fair would that be if 20 people called in and paid the 50 dollar deductible and then when you called in you whimpered and made the rep make a sad face and take off the charge?
If you crash your car and have insurance but don't pay the deductible, are they just going to say "Oh ok... I feel bad for you because you don't have a car now"? No way foo.
Get another one. 50 bucks for a 300 dollar phone isn't that bad. Man up.
Also, the insurance company, Lock/Line, is not owned by Cingular. Therefore, they would be the ones who would have to make that decision, not Cingular. The answer will still more than likely be "no" though.
have you ever made a claim? If so, you paid a DEDUCTIBLE!!! Whether it's $500 or $1200. They don't just fix it for free.
You said, you had a W600, well MSRP on the W600 is $324.99. You have paid a total of $96 for having insurance on your phone for the last two years. With the $50 deductible you are at $146 dollars which is a savings of $78.99. 🙄
If they previously replaced a lost phone without a deductible, you were upgraded or either got a wonderfully undeserved deal.
Your monthly premium is to continue the insurance coverage; the premium covers the cost involved in filing and fulfilling a claim.
We understand that you're frustrated about locing your phone, but you also agreed that, should you need to file for insurance replacement, that you would pay a $50.00 deductible.
I agreed, when I added insurance to my car, that if I needed to file a claim that there would be a $250.00 deductible. It would be just plain assinine and immature to decide after the car was stolen or wrecked that it is "unfair" that they charge me what I agreed to in the first place, right?
Stop trying to get over, agree to the deductible and come up with some means of paying it by the time your next bill comes out.
