I really don't feel it's either...as phone pimp has mentioned in reply to this thread in the Verizon Forum, this is the biggest merger that the FCC has had to deal with, and due to that they probably outsourced some of the work to some group who in turn said "Hey there is too much stuff to go thru, it's going to take us longer than 6 months"

From reading the article you posted, it looks like this is just some consumer watchdog group who's tryin to pull a microsoft case all over again.
It sounds to me like they're accusing cingular/attws of trying to eliminate all viable forms of competition in the wireless market. A hostile takeover essentially.
Sounds like a bunch of people who know little to nothing about the wireless industry are trying to say that thru this merger only one company will exist thereby eliminating the current #1 carrier altogether.

That I don't know but if anything it looks like this group would favor Bell if anyone...thats at least is what I get from the article, since it mentions them a couple times...I don't believe though that they are trying to say anything about the market collapsing into one entity as Disturbed is trying to say...I think this company just might be looking out for Bell interests in the Market...my question is what kind of questino would take up 12 pages?
