Poll: Worst Phone in the history of Cingular
I reached this conclusion not only because I have it and it's shockingly bad, but also by reading the titles of the review page, in chronological order started with the latest:
HORRIBLE PHONE
I love Motorola, but, this one......
I like this phone
V220 is the Worst Phone you could get!

The V180 really wasn't much better in terms of its reliability...they were basically the same phone only the V180 is sans camera. I used to see those two phones come in the store ALL the time.
Those two I would place at the top (really I would consider them the same). The other model that definitely is the one of the worst is the LG C1300.
They even recalled the antenna on most all of our C1300s and sent us "new and improved antennas" with a red stripe on them (which is probably the only difference). Guess what? the new antennas DIDNT HELP the customers, except for the nice placebo effect.
Honorable mention: LG 4010 (display would just stop working), SonyEricsson 306 (horrible reception, possibly worst ever), Moto t720 (too many problems to think of), Moto v220/180 (see above)
lg makes garbage phones, but i hope the cu500 or cu400(3g ptt, no other info at this point) works well, im keeping my options open.
but the c1300 was a nightmare 😈
it may not count ofically but the next in line are the nec 515/and 525. and the
lg 1150/1100
Moto 331 (for oh so many reasons)
LG 4010
Moto V180/220 (make great paperweights!)
LG 1300
SE T226 (and all it's vile offspring)
Nokia 1100
Siemens A56 (this might be my champ)
My pick for most improved company has to be LG though, the phones they are putting out now are performing much better, and we're getting very few in store complaints about the C1500 and C2000.
On a different note, how can SE make such good high end phones, and such crappy low end ones? Do they have a different Quality Control department??
Think about it... the phone has been out a lil over a year and a half, and has probably been "adjusted" half a dozen times in regards to software and different components inside.
Any phone that has been out this long (think about the x427) will have more than it's fair share of problems.
There were only two issues that I can think of at the moment:
1. white dust under the screen (warranty replacements were issued)
2. Recall due to bad component which caused it to drop calls, hang up, and/or power cycle on it's own. (customers were notified if they were affected, and received a free replacement)
The phone they put that logo on sucks.
[sorry Anx....just practicing for when I'm on the other side.]
V600 by far.
Remember that thing? I was with AT&T at the time and it had more press than the Razor (Okay, not really, but still...) everyone wanted that bulky heavy phone and it sucked.

They should be able to give you a different model at this point.
I thought the only countries that used CDMA were the US, Israel, Brazil, and like, that's it.
*shrug.
They are really strong in the CDMA area, I guess it just took them some time to find their footing...
Not sure about the CDMA coverage in the Korea's, but gsmworld.com shows North Korea using GSM 900, and South Korea using 3G.
I thought the only countries that used CDMA were the US, Israel, Brazil, and like, that's it.
*shrug.
I think in my first 4 months working there, EVERYONE who came in with ANY sort of problem with Cingular (except for billing issues) had one of these two phones.
I couldn't even begin to tell you how many brand new ones I would pull out of our inventory to sell and activate, and you get an OBF.
The 400/500 series take second place.
Ugh Motorola.
Only thing bringing it down in the list, and out of our eyes, is how few of them actually sold.
Compare the amount of c331g's to the amount of v180's/v220's.
And you're looking at probably 20x more of the latter. No joke.
All have the same defect issues.
buggy software, earpiece speaker problems, horrible reception, and the all favorite white screen. Next in line would be every lg before the cu500. all had horrible times getting good reception. with the inception of the CU500 I would deffinitely say LG stepped it up alot. Features features features, low defect rate, and to top it off this phone gets as good of reception as any Nokia.
