Does any rep know...

Does any rep have approximate dates of when the Pittsburgh market will have UMTS/HSDPA?

I was told by a local technician that the entire market is equipped with HSDPA a few months ago (and I assumed this was true when customer service said nighttime outages were due to network upgrades).

Any information is appreciated. Thanks!

What kind of outage? GSM outage? (no signal for calling out) or GPRS/EDGE outage?
I have experinced a lot of GPRS/EDGE outages late at night. (The GPRS/EDGE litlle logo is gone) But I'm still able to make phone calls.
Now, I experienced a GSM outage in Daytona a few weeks back (again late at night) but I had GPRS. 😕 I think if you're having GPRS outages it means that they are working on UMTS, since UMTS is an overlay of GPRS/EDGE.

Well the outages were several months ago. And they weren't particularly outages, as they were at the same time frame every night for a few days/weeks. I know for a fact that voice was down during these nighttime hours, and the EDGE indicator was empty too, but that sometimes happens even when they aren't working on the towers (during the day).

RUFF, sometimes they work on towers during the day. I thought the same way until I saw workers taking down a tower by my house while I was going to work. I was like 😳 They took it down in the morning (BTW)

Yes, but it's only momentarily.

My phone can be sitting on a table in my house and have EDGE, and the next thing you know it doesn't...without the phone moving at all. It never lasts more than a few minutes though.
