M2M?
Question: My friend who has Cingular called me to ask me why is it that everytime he calls his mother (who has an old AT&T pre-paid phone) he uses his minutes... I told him this can't be! He claims he is using his minutes because on his bill there's an "M" right next the calls that are M2M. He doesn't see this M next to his mother's number. What do you guys think about this?

get CS to check his account to see if M2M is provisioned on there

He does have M2M. It's only when he calls his mother who has an old ATT pre-paid phone...

this is going to sound stupid and i agree but this is the reason... the old att prepaid are what considrred TDMA digital technology and you are using GSM newer version bascailly... now these are operated on totally different networks, so they are not calculating because she is prepaid,

Its because cingular hasnt loaded all of the npa-nxx from the old legacy tdmas. Theres also an issue with the new metro pcs markets can't call att tdma prepay phones (not that anyone really cares about metro pcs).
