Oh boy I feel bad for all of you face to face/direct reps! Coming soon, the end of the AT&T Charter 99.99 plan. (For those of you that dont know what that was, it was Unlimited minutes when GSM was first rolled out and virtually non existent outside of metro areas)

Ouch!

The point is that the influx of mad angry customers is going to be a nightmare, especially bc Cingular is only sending a letter notifying the customer that the plan will be automatically changed to xyz plan on xyz date, and any overage of that plan will be charged at 25 per minute.

That equals a lot of $700, $800, $1000+ bills!!!

I ask you once again: And your point is...???
This is nothing new, this has been done before. Last yr these letters went out to customers who belong to SunCom and had $49.99 unlimited calling plans. No big deal! Most plp adapted to out new calling plans. Others left, but it wasn't the end of the world... We gave them enough time to decide what to do. (switch or stay)
Most of them actually understand that it was good while it lasted. 🙄
Besides it's not like we're changing their plans in the middle of the contract... most of these plp -if not all of them- are not under contract anymore.

The plan was also advertised to be guaranteed for the first 24 months only, at least in the Dallas/Ft. Worth market.

Keep stirring if you choose but it is getting old. You need to let go.

not to mention the fact that most of these customer should have been told at the time they activated on this plan that it wouldn't last forever. I remember selling the plan, and orginally it was only a 2 yr offer. That was back in 2002.
