Federal Excise Tax Repealed

I got this from mywireless.org, a site dedicated to people who have nothing better to do with lives then try to get the Federal Excise Tax removed from their cell phone bills. I don't know what they'll do with their spare time now, because they got it done!

"Consumer Victory! The 108 year-old Federal Excise Tax is Repealed"

On May 25, 2006, The Treasury Department announced that the 3% Federal Excise Tax will no longer be applied to long-distance telephone service, including wireless. This is a huge victory for wireless consumers who will save millions of dollars each year!

According to the Treasury Department’s announcement, Taxpayers can apply for refunds on their 2006 tax forms, to be filed in 2007. Additionally:

Nah, I someone posted the link to that site about a year ago, and I signed onto the mailing list. Then I get an email today mentioning this.
