A good clamshell?
I am looking to find a new phone and was looking strongly at the d807. but I haven't had a clamshell in a few years and all of the clamshells on Cingular seem to be marginal at best. Maybe I am missing something. I am kind of hoping so âšī¸ Anyways, just looking for feedback. Anyone know of any good flips for cingular?

i have the samsung D407, great phone,
pros:
excellent signal(never dropped a call)
excellent voice quality
solid but light feel(doensnt feel cheap or flimsy)
color(i personally like black phones)
its a samsung
speakerphone is loud
ptt(didnt activate it yet, you dont have to use it)
menu is very customizable
plethora of features(not too many to bog you down)

vga camera is blah
volume only goes up to 5 but the volume is decent

Really, we have one in my store. I dont like its only a VGA camera but to be honest I dont use the camera much anyhow đ I will have to check it out today.

While the D407 doesn't appear to be a bad phone at all. I kinda like it but I am worried that if I upgrade now then in mid august they are gunna drop some really nice flips and ima be pissed âšī¸ hehe
Does anyone know then if there are any flips for sure dropping in August because I have heard a lot of speculation but nothing for sure.

the razr v3i is comming out in july, i dunno about august tho, it improves on the razr with a megapixel camera, keypad is easier to use, and iTunes(with a 100 song limit which sucks), and a micro or mini sd slot, and longer battery life, cingular is taking FOREVER to release it, verizon is already ahead with the razr v3m
im waiting for a top-of-the line UMTS/HSDPA phone thats a slider or clamshell and it has a camera, and other goodies and i dont want it to be a LG, i cant wait for cingular to release UMTS in my area, it would be cool to have a razr-like phone w/ UMTS/HSDPA to compete with the razr v3c, or i might get a blackberry
