Why is everyone constantly waging the "my company is better" battle? Where I live (no offense meant here) verizon service sucks but then so does sprint, t-mobile, and nextel the only service i have in my hometown is cingular and a bit of attws, where my parents live they only have cingular and a wee bit of verizon. So why doesn't everyone realize that all companys have good and bad and just be content in the fact that we all have jobs?
...
I totally agree with you....i am an agent for cingular, and i agree that cingular is not the best in ALL areas. everyone has their pros and cons.
...
true. but you have to understand that out off all the service providers cingular is the worst of em all and my heart goes out to you if your and agent

And that is based on...what? I'm guessing opinion. Please let us all know when you find something substantial to back that up. Some good hard facts would do wonders. π
...
you want back?? lol good one how about you go to their web site and compare all their plans to everyone else AND go to chat sites and listen to ALL the customers COMPLAIN on the price/service and ontop of that the customer care reps kind of forget about the "care" part of the job you people are the most rude and ignorant reps in the industry and that is not only my "opinion" but that is the opinion of hundreds and thousands of people the ONLY reason your getting your panties in a bunch is cause you work for them! π
...
DUDE!!! Highly uncalled for. πΏ From someone who does not currently work in the wireless industry, I've heard FAR more personal horror stories from Verizon customers than Cingular. I've lived in both Verizon and Cingular dominated areas and I've experienced their coverage in both. Both companies are the best at what they do (and yes they do do different things). The sad thing is that people want to start insulting people and ass-uming that they're right just because they think they are.
Come with some hardcore facts and something halfway decent to say or don't come at all.
...
In this one I would have to disagree with you disturbed...and not just because it's Cingular gettin hit here, but because this is a forum for everyone not just the educated tech minded people...this is a forum for every day people to come to and voice their opinions even if they don't have anything to back them up...and then someone from cingular should ask what the problem was and from there try to educate the customer for future reference...so don't get on him for not being as tech minded as you are...just food for thought
...
I'm not so much hittin him for not being "tech-minded", believe me there's a LOT more that I still have to learn. But it sounds to me like he's basing his argument on supposed opinions of "everyone". This is just a falacy. If everyone actually held that opinion then no other company would exist. I'm just big on respect and it's horribly disrespectful to try and speak for those who have voices of their own. That's all....sorry if it came off differently
...
I think you have posts mixed up...or I do, but either way his last post was just basically bashing Cingular due to his own experiences
...
it's cool....mix ups happen
but it's really not fair to bash a company based on your experiences alone. I hate my service with ALLTEL, but I still pay my bills on time and dont' presume to be the authority on thier crappiness.
...
but in your own experience you are an expert of the crap...that doesn't sound very good....hehehe
...
no it doesn't π€£ who wants to be an expert of crap?
...
Okay now this has gotten WAAAAAAAYYYYY off topic... and there are worse jobs than proctologist. Try gynecologist. Look at them all day. Come home to the old lady in a Vicky's Secret barely there... have to tell her "honey, if I see one more of those..."
...
that's one reason I dropped pre-med as a major...I got to see enough of them at my last job as an OR assistant. You'd never believe the things they do in surgery. Not to mention the things they talk about...you thought we were bad on the forum. Talk about off topic.

Sounds like
Senor 85percent... π€£ π€£ π€£ π€£
j/k, maybe...

I think I'd have to disagree with you on THIS one VZWMan. I am only 15 years old and I voice my opinion in these forums. I've never even worked for McDonald's let alone a company like Verizon or Cingular, yet I do my research and I know what I'm talking about (most of the time). If you want to come in here and get "into" one of these debates, most people in here would appreciate if it was appropriate or relevant, AND based on fact. Nobody needs to take the extra time to read somebody's pointless rambling in the middle of a heated debate.
That's my take.
...
yeah I do agree with you, but in turn there is no reason for beating the hell out of someone for voice their own opinions from their own PERSONAL experiences...
...
I didn't see anybody doing that in here...
...
Okay so I went back in the thread and found that I was wrong, he was being a douche bag...but at least I can admit when I'm wrong right?
...
a very admirable trait. and to be fair this thread has been posted on both VZW's and Cingular's forums. VERY easy to get them mixed up when the same people are participatin in both really.
We cool my ni**a, we cool π€£
(non-racial disclaimer: meant only as a joke π )
...
thank God for that disclaimer, you wanna get the FCC up in here....hehehe
...
you mean they don't already see it everytime we scratch ourselves in public? π€£
...
yeah they do see that but they won't do anything about it...they like it too much...hehehe
...
see...just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're NOT out to get you.
besides...I'm a lowly consumer as of right now, they don't watch me as closely. π€£

Thank you Disturbed! At least somebody knows how things are. π

Okay, lets do that: compare plans to everyone else. In the interest of space, lets take Verizon and T-Mobile as examples.
Verizon is widely regarded as the best and T-Mobile the cheapest.
So here goes:
Verizon:
America's Choice - 59.99
800 minutes
M2M limited to IN-network - unlimited
Unlimited N&W
Roaming: .69/minute
Add a line:$20.00 per line plus $10 for IN-network
IN-Network significantly smaller than national network
T-Mobile:
Get More -$59.99
1000 minutes
Unlimited N&W
Unlimited M2M
add a line $10.00 plus $35.00 activation per line
Cingular:
Nation GSM - $59.99
850 minutes with rollover
Unlimited NATIONWIDE M2M
Unlimited NATIONWIDE N&W
rollover lets you keep unused minutes
add a line: $9.99 plus $18.0...

Hey Phone Pimp, are you in a position to send me that link we were talking about yesterday..I think it had something to do with the costs of GSM compared to CDMA
...
Economies of scale: GSM is the most widely available wireless technology in the world, with more than 680 networks in more than 205 countries and territories worldwide. Itβs also the most widely used wireless technology, with more than one billion customers in the world, or 72% of the worldβs digital wireless customers. The GSM family of technologies, which includes GPRS, EDGE and UMTS, are expected to account for up to 85% of next-generation customers worldwide, according to the UMTS Forum. These market shares drive large volumes of network infrastructure and user devices, which translate into lower costs for GSM operators. GSMβs market share also attracts vendors and application developers, whose innovative content, services and...

okay where in there does it talk about GSM being cheaper than CDMA...If you have it I would like to figures on that...
...
I'll have to wait on those can't access them from work

Oh I'm sorry. I didn't know that you could apply for a job for Cingular WHEN YOU'RE ONLY 15 YEARS OLD! π² And really, I have done my comparing and take a look at Verizon's rates and plans. Even considering that Cingular offered the worst deals is humorous to me. π

Where did you find the poll on "Does Cingular suck or not?" and what "hundreds and thousands of people" voted yes? Once again, PLEASE use FACTS, not the silly thoughts that seem to just create themselves in the confines of your imagination.

I have had other sevice before and had dealings with other customer service reps and the ones at cingular have been the nicest and most helpful of Alltel, ATTWS, or Cingular. I am not sure why you have had bad relations with then.
