Seriously why cant phone companys get together and create a universal phonebook

same icons .. same info

so you can transfer it from one phone to another without going thru bells and wistles just to get it like you had it

I moved my book via the sim card from my Nokia to my Motorola and all the icons defaulted to Main .. so entries with more than one number all have main as the icon .. so now i have to figure out which number is mobile, home ect

i dont think it would be so hard

Instead of phonebook, as this is kind of weak and more so insignificant,
sub with Charging port, or headset jack.
Thanks-

Now a more serious answer.

The reason is Marketing. You are frustrated aren't you? Now because this frustrates you, don't you think you are more apt to buying the same brand phone next time? hmmm.....the same brand phone? Why would a company want you to keep purchasing their products?

To answer another question of yours that you haven't asked yet:

The reason why they keep changing the charging ports on phones is money. Even Nokia started doing it cause they want money too.
