New Cingular Handset

I am looking to pick-up a new handset in the next few months. I am interested in the V600, but concerned about Motorola's quality control issues as well as a few of the software quirks. Any suggestions??? Has Motorola resolved their issues or is their something else on the horizon worth waiting for? Any help would be appreciated! Eric

I had the V600 and returned it for the T637. I thought I could not live without a clamshell after the V60I but the Sony has a much better phone book organization scheme. the GUI is faster and better for me. I also like that I can squeeze it on my shoulder better when my hands are tied. but thats what BT is for. "look Ma no hands...no wires"!!

I found the PC BT sync was much easier to impliment with the Sony as well. The IR is swift and can be used with Palm devices to move Vcards. as well as with other IR devices and phones if the other phone does not have BT.

The camera is terrible, But the 1MP pictures are no treat as well. I don't use that toy much. The free ringers from SE website are great, especially the "old phone rrrrrriiiiing...

I think whatever problems Cingular/Motorola initially had with the v600 have been largely addressed. Tmobile finally managed to work out the kinks with the v300. Give it a try...you have 15 days to make a decision.
