i need to get a cellphone for somebody 60+ that is really simple to use and has the ability to display extremley large fonts. any suggestions? grampa needs a cellphone as his buisness line. he doesnt want anything with "high-tech gizmos" like a camera or qwerty keyboard. i wouldnt be suprised if he didnt want even a contact book.

The 6010 sounds like a winner. It is only available online. This phone has bad call quality though. 🙄

Why would you suggest a phone with poor call quality to a customer who is wanting to use the phone as a business line...

Unfortunately the phones that don't have cameras are usually small. Little buttons, little screen, little fonts. Just because a phone has a camera doesn't mean that grandpa has to use it. For Cingular I suggest the Nokia 6010 (as stated before me), or Samsung X497.

6010 is simple, its available at a lot of agent locations till. otherwise 6030 6061 x497 are all basic decent reception phones. or maybe you should get him a D807!

I would suggest to you the Nokia 6102i (can be found on cingular.com under phones and pdas) Its a nise sized phone with a fairly nice key pad. It also supports Voice commands AND Voice dialing, so he wont have to use the keys all the time. He can just open it and say. "Call so and so" or along those lines. A faily nice function for those who might have consistant trouble with the pad. It also supports EDGE so it can send and recieve data much faster if he ever does end up using that. (considering its for business) Also contact cingulars customer care for more information regarding such questions, they can be a great deal of help.
