Questions regarding Prepaid Plans

I am considering buying a prepaid plan for my son who recently joined the military. There are a few questions I have though:
- If I buy the plan here (Midwest), will he be able to use it in South Carolina and Maryland? We are talking approx. a 6 month period on the East Coast, before his permanent duty station (don't know where that will be).
- Unlimited Mobile to Mobile on the "Pay As You Go Unlimited Mobile to Mobile Plan" does this mean that the standard airtime charge will not be deducted as long he calls someone on the Cingular Network?
- How many minutes are on the $100 Card Denomination. I'm assuming 1000 minutes.
- Can Text and Instant Messaging along with Internet access be disabled?
I would appreciate any input you...

the majority of south carolina and maryland are covered. the $1.00 will be deducted on any day the phone is used whether to a cingular phone or not. on the m2m plan a $100 card is 1000 minutes (keep in mind the $1.00 charge is an automatic 10 minute deduction). text and internet can be deleted from the account.

So it pretty much looks like their website has not been updated in many areas since 2005. How unbiased and reliable is that?
