Question on Data for PhonePimp..

I do not use the date feature on my phone and have enter a phony WAP because the online button can be inadvertently hit causing the phone to go "online" I think even if I do not "surf" as it were data is still being processed.

So far I have used 700Kb of to and from. I think I will be charged $7 for that, when I first got the phone I DL'd some rings from SE.

Is it correct that I will incur data exchange if just "online'? If not i will use the correct WAP profile and take my chances.

depends on if you use WAP or GPRS...GPRS you are only billed for acyual KB downloaded. WAP takes away from airtime.

Most of our phones use GPRS unless there is only WAP available. they display an icon to let you know when in GPRS. Check your owners manual for the icon, as it it different from vendor to vendor. SE used to use a 'g' in a circle to show GPRS, not sure if they did on the 637.
