as a matter of fact, the first date listed on the site for anything associated with the w810 is 09/01/2006. so, august is really OUT! Do a little research before you dispute someone that test's the phone for cingular. 😉

What about the fact that the Sony Ericsson w600i walkman phone is no longer available in a local store and not online either? Certainly a replacement for this model (w810i) won't be til late Sept.?

Especially considering that Walkman enabled phones are a success for Sony Ericsson, so that kind of delay seems unlikely.

Anyone else have more info?

After checking on the phone's mini page here at phonescoop, it looks like SunCom has already picked up this model and is offering it. So, you must be right about early Aug if not a little earlier.

You guys really don't listen, do you? LATE SEPTEMBER! 🤣 The phone is not open for orders in OTIVA and the date is September 19, 2006. And Suncom? Do any of you remember when AT&T would launch GSM phones a clear 8 to 9 months before cingular got em? We always take extra long to launch new equipment. If any of you work for cingular, you can check the supply chain management page and see for yourself.

This phone is coming out early in August. I am keeping this post to show it to him when I prove him wrong. I am never wrong about release dates. 😈

The w600 is still available in some retail locations. I currently have one left on the shelf, which i'd recieved in a back order shipment of 6 units about 2weeks ago. I know i wasn't the only one to recieve some of these in my area, so i suppose for the northwest we have a little longer to go.

Ironically, my SE rep came by the store today. He mentioned a mid-August to September 1st launch. They are ready to ship at MDC, and the Ft. Worth warehouse.

I am in the Dallas market by the way. It should be a nationwide launch.
