is cingular going to do me nasty?
i have a great plan on the att side, still havent migrated yet. im planning on buying a new unlocked phone (sony ericsson w810i) instead of migrating and getting a new phone. do u think cingular will ever force me to migrate? should i get the phone now or migrate?
my plan is 1000 minutes, early nights and weekends, unlimited m2m, all for 39.99

It's possible but I haven't heard any news on forced migrations yet. If I ever do, I or someone else will post something in the forums.

You might as well migrate over, A. you get rollover minutes with cingular, B. You get better data plan offers C. you can pay like 50 bucks and get a decent backup phone for your ericcson and D. you get m2m with cingular and AT&T that broadens your calling community tremendously, but i mean that is just a personal reccomendation

if ur getting the sony ericsson w810i(which is an amazing phone) and you have attws, and u get the phone unlocked you could still have attws but, if you have a TDMA sim or a TDMA phone w/ attws then you might have to migrate to cingular, and hearing about all these lawsuits its no time telling when they might start forcing attws customers to cingy

tdma didnt have a sim.
and i'd recommend any tdma customer to upgrade because that technology very soon will be obsolete.

As Long as you are not on the Charter plan 39.99 (if you are they are force migrating them soon)you are okay but to be honest you need to see how many minutes are you really using and I have not heard of it being a forced thing yet but lets face it they have to force everyone over before they switch back to AT&T Wireless anyways.
