phones not working
I have 2 samsung phones on a family plan. they have worked pretty well the last year. 4 days ago they stopped working almost completely. I called cingular today and the rep said they are integrating their towers or something like that. he said we only have 2 towers in our area and that we are in a medium coverage area and that this integrated or upgrading could be causing the issue. he did not know how long it would take but they should go back to normal when its done. could this be true? will it really go back to normal? Thanks.

It shouldn't take this long. I'm not usually a proponent of asking for credits but something like this should be credited.

I am not really worried about a credit, I just need my phones to work. Do you think hes telling me the truth? Do you think they will start working again soon?

Ok nevermind. I just called a local cingular store and was told our local tower was damaged in a storm last weekend and they should have it fixed today or tomorrow. Too bad the reps at cingular dont know these things. thanks.

Always go to the local store for phone/signal problems.. They'll have first hand knowledge of any tower issues that customer service reps may not have readily available.

the UMTS integrations are causing weird stuff to happen we are told to expect it but the positives definitely out weigh the negatives
