I'm not a big MOTO fan but their recently announced line up looks pretty decent.

Are you kidding me? the only good Motorola is a dead motorola!!!! If any of these kids were selling phones when the startac was new they would know that it has been almost a decade since MOTO knew jack about making phones. Remember the t720 fiasco and the v70? I rest my case.......

If motorola was so 'bad' I think they wouldn't be the second largest cell phone manufacturer in the world. 🙄

due to advertising and thats it. how much was the RAZR going for when it came out? Between $500-$1000, and now free-$50. all they are is one big marketing scheme. if you lived in an area with super spotty coverage you would know that the 6010 destroys all as far as reception goes. Oh yeah and lets talk about the laundry-list of defects that have plagued MOTO for at least 10 years. white screen, changing their own profiles, swelling of the battery, reception issues, Displaying "snow" on the screen like a damn TV, 2 prong chargers that wont charge the phone after 3 months, Usb chargers that when pulled out pull out the inerds of the phone, dropped calls left and right, horrible cameras(cuz you know MOTO can make 4 megapixel Digital and video ca...

Why are you trying to hate on Moto, when you have only done one review and it was on a LG phone and all of your forum messages are negative against Moto but positive for Samsung and LG. I am a regular consumer who hates bastartds who destroy forums with their personal vendettas. Get a life! 😲

I sell phones for a living. I have for over 10 years. My opinion on phones is soley based on my own and customers experiences on phones. I would hope that someone not in the industry would think that someone in the industry would know what they are talking about. First of all If you are on phonescoop and not in the industry how would you know which are good and bad phones without someone else warning you of certain phones. Thats what this site is for, and most of us on here have exstensive experience in the field. If came to your work and started telling you how to do your job as if I knew it better than you you would probably get pretty mad. Usually those who are not in the field look to those who are for suggestions. Some salesman do not c...

I could understand your point of view because I kinda do the same thing with SE phones. If I get a customer trying to get a phone (moto or not) that I know is not good; I try to sell them a SE phone. They don't come back as much as other phones do.
However, I don't think is right that you don't sell RAZR phones. Our job is to sell the phones and NEVER talk trash about X manufacturer (in your case Motorola) It's written in the Code of Conduct that we are not to dish X manufacturer no matter how bad it is.
So, what do you do if you get a customer who really wants to get a RAZR? You tell them to go get it through someone else?
My RAZR phones don't come back as much as yours do. 😕 If I really want to stir a customer away from a phone I ...

That is why I as a consumer, I have already put phonescoop on Myspace and told everyone so they can see for themselves what pompus jackasses you really are. You know you sell us crap and you still sell it anyway like you really care about the consumer. All you care about is your pocket and if it is full of money. Cingular, Verizon, and all of the other companies have been ripping off consumers for years and I pledge that I will do my best to make sure consumers know what they are really buying and what data and voice plns to choose. 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣

I'm sorry but are you just NOW figuring out that people work for money? Good for you. But to say that we're pompous jackasses for doing so? Out of line.
EVERY single person that's ever worked with/for me that's tried to rip off a customer gets fired. Straight up. Sure it happens more than people think, but whatever. You've obviously made up your mind.
Educating the customer is the easiest thing to do--if you straight up tell someone 'Hey your first bill is going to be $130' and then they ask 'why?' and you tell them? Sure they'll be bitter a little bit, but if you DON'T tell them? They'll jump over the counter and rip your tie off and I have to call the cops.
The other part; you the consumer. We ONLY have to meet you h...

Funny thing, that's actually a Dane Cook reference, not a disregard of customer care....

What the heck is your problem? Why do we have to be Jackasses, like we make the phones and tell Cingular to release them. Get real! All carriers release crappy (cheap) phones for those who are unwilling to pay anything for a phone upgrade. And yes! there's a lot of people out there who think they deserve a free phone. Carriers know this and deliver... Customers get what they paid for....
...
I feel the same way you do. Our Job is to suggest what we think is in the customers best interes. Due to properly qualifying a customer. If the customer does not want to listen to us That is their problem. In fact the only reason our entire cell phone structure is centered around subsidizing phones and activating contracts 1 or 2 year is because of cheap people who are unwilling to pay for technology. I think we are one of only a few countries that do this. If like in Japan people were willing to pay outright cost on a phone everything would revolve around a prepaid card system. But because of our people who think that no cell phone could possibly cost more than $20 -30 to manufacture and distribute they feel every phone should be free with ...

True...but my ROKR lights up when I talk into it, so that brings back up MOTO by like a thousand points.
Also, that's cool that our Sony Ericsson Rep might tell the higher ups to put a Panda Bear growl on the PTT sound on their phones. Just think of the possibilities....
Mainly the thing I don't like about MOTO phones is the software tends to glitch up...granted it's not EVERY phone, but the MPx220 is a good example.
Different people will always have different experiences with everything, so it's hard to make everyone happy...that's why GoD has a hard time with everything...
PS The Moto MAXX is aweseome looking, but our MOTO rep said 'no' on a US release...bastard.

Shinseimuta should tell u how many different ROKRS hes had in the last 6 months! My thing with MOTO is really just inconsitsancies. I've had some people tell me that their RAZR is the best phone they've ever had for reception. Some say it is the worst. To be honest I have had more say it is the worst. The V500 series have proven to be the most common warrenteed phones. This was taken direct for cingulars warrenty department. And like Shinseimuta said this is mainly due to software glitches. And like I've said time and time again these are the same glitches that MOTO has had for the past 10 years on all of their phones. More apparent in some models over others but they have always been an issue with Motorola phones. I like the fact that one ...

The reason motorola is the second largest cell phone manufacterer is that, by and large, most consumers are completely clueless when it comes to buying electronics. They see a commercial about a cool looking phone, or they see one of their friends with it, it looks cool, its new, and Brad Pitt or some other hollywood A-lister has one so its gotta be the best, right? Why do you think over 90% of americans still use PC's and windows? 😁
