Indoor coverage/reception

carlsberg

Just want to get a general idea of reception while indoors with Cingular from everyone.

Please list the type of phone as well since reception is often determined by type of phone.

Thank you!

It depends where you are mostly. The nokias and motorola's tend to hold on to weak signals the best. The new Pantech isn't bad either. However some buildings are very difficult to get reception in no matter what phone you have.

I have the nokia 6102 and can tell you this the reception indoors is horrible, even in my own home. Many times if I try to make a call from inside my home I get a network busy error or it will try to make the call then just stop because it will not connect. If I just go out on my deck I get 4 bars for reception but move two feet indoors forget it. I never had this problem with Alltel, never had network error connections, etc like I have had with Cingular. As soon as my contract is up I am back with Alltel. There plans are just as good now.
