Where's Nextel18 with these numbers? They must have hurt too much.

Oh well, more market for Cingular! 🙂

Only 708,000? Is that Sprint and Nextel combined? 😕 I briefly read the article; I'm too busy porting their customers.

Ooh those are bad...

It's a good thing I sell Sprint in a dominant Sprint area

Cingular doesn't work too well here, which I guess is good for my comm checks 🙂

Yes Anx, that's Sprint and Nextel combined.

They only added 210,000 reatail postpaid customers! The rest were prepaid accounts...

It's not looking good.

OMG! That's horrible... But now that I think about it... I don't know anyone that has a Sprint phone. Absolutely no-one. I see Nextel phones left and right in public, but Sprint? very rarely.... 🙄

Visit Austin Texas, Sprint rules here as the Cingular network keeps crashing.Sprint's data network is awesome here also.

Hmmm, it doesn't look like Austin is saving them in the market share arena.

Come to [insert metro area here] and see how the two compare. Austin is one city, you know.

I dont know about the keep crashing part. There was a blackout the other day in Texas for a couple of hours but that was the first time that this had happened. Sprint/Nextel's coverage (Pls wait why we try to locate the Nextel subscriber 🤣 )and phone selection has been garbage for the past 6 to 8 months so I can see those numbers. The only good thing they do have going for them is great content from Power Vision but it looks like they are going to need more than that to compete. They should be coming out with better products though b/c Sprint's phone selection has never been this bad and I am sure they are going to do something about it.

This is sad. Seems like RadioShack and Sprint are the only companies out there that can't make money in the wireless industry. I don't get it.

With Sprint going to EVDO revision A in the 4th quarter AND picking up Motorola that same quarter, look out! I sell Cingular, T-Mobile and Sprint and the fact that we get the fewest complaints from Sprint customers has always made me push their service a little more. With Motorola they will also have the most popular phones although Motorola's reliability is lower than I like.

As far as Radio Shack, they are still the nations #1 seller of cell phones. This new CEO they hired has been successful in turning around every retailer he has tried to. (Sears-K-Mart) Now is the time to invest a little in both.
Now if Cingular can just keep its network online! Three times down this year? What's with that?

LOL, its a lot more work to keep a network running that services over 55 million customers than it is to run a network with basically a bunch of walky-talkies and a bunch of boost mobile prepaid users 😁

True, but here in Austin I get sooo many returns in the 30 day trial period for Cingular. They have always dropped calls here for some reason, even more than T-Mobile.When they dump TDMA in 2008 they will have the bandwidth needed to fix this I bet.
