No More Release Dates!!!!

I propose that if you really don't know when something is coming out; you should keep your damn mouth shut. For months the V3i was suppose to come out. It never did! The SE W810 was suppose to be out! It never appeared. The Cheesecake 300000000 was suppose to be out (just kidding)! It never came. The only thing that came out this summer was Lance Bass of Nsync.

I went to the Cingular store yesterday and went looking for the Nokia 6682 to compare in-store to on-line pricing. Furthermore I wanted to see how the phone operates. Guess what! The phone had been taken off off store shelves because of lack of sales. Now the phone can only be purchased on-line for $249.00 (which is a complete rip-off).

The rest of the phones Cingular is no...

Those of us who work for Cingular and have release dates can't tell u. It is a violation of the conduct agreement we all sign to give that information.

Hey larue26 i also got annoyed about so many false release dates. if you want some info on a phones status u could try e-mailing the president of cingular like i did about the w810 and the president's representative may send an e-mail or call your cell phone and tell you the current plan for an unreleased phone.

So Cingular won't let you tell the truth but has no problem with their sales force lying to customers?

Maybe Cingular should have some of their employees sign a paper that says, " I am not a college graduate and I really don't no that much about cellphones, but I will gladly take your money." or maybe this one "I will sit at the computer and pretend to be interested in selling you this phone" or "I rather be working at Taco Bell". If you can think of anymore please let me know! ๐Ÿ˜ ๐Ÿ™‚

If you're such a know it all why did you buy so many moto pieces of crap? Read a consumer report! Either way you probably came in looking for what was hot on the market at the time and insisted on the piece of sh!t phone you ended up with.

I guess everyone gets caught up in the hype!

Three or four years ago I bought a Nokia 6590i. It was a small phone, nothing special, but it worked well. Then after two years it got pretty worn down and a cracked screen. I purchased a SE T637, it was a great phone and sound quality was OK. I dropped the phone in water and got a replacement for $50.00. Then I broke the phone and Lock line could not replace the phone at all and they sent me a Moto V551. At first I wasn't used to the flip phone idea. The V551 just kept having problems with the speaker, I could rarely hear people, etc..

I was eligible for an upgrade and purchased the Razr V3 black and it sucked big time. So, I bought the RoKr E1. Although it was ugly, the phone worked pret...

You hit the nail on the head. Motorola SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If American's would stop worrying about how the phone looks and stop buying sh*&@y Motorola's, they would make the RF better in there GSM handsets. But when one line of phones puts you at the top of market share in the us, you just pump em out no matter how well they work. Moto knows that they will sale because they're pretty and sleek! I'll never buy another Motorola. Give me a Sony 1st and a Nokia 2nd! The V3i will launch for Cingular, it just needs to be right. Moto has taken this long to fix the bugs we've complained about.

You hit the nail right on the head!!! America is too wrapped up on the "sexiness" of a phone and not its functionality. The RAZR is a piece of garbage (all Motorolas are) and people just like the looks of that phone without doing any research on reception, functionality, etc....

My favorites are: 1. Nokia 2. LG (tie) 2. Sony Ericcson (tie)

I agree (SonyEricsson)
From what I hear the v3i is just as low as the V3 (earpiece) So, apparently they forgot to fix that! ๐Ÿ™„
One of the main reasons why I will never buy Motorola again is because it seems like the Thinner and Smaller they get; the lowest their earpieces get too! ๐Ÿ˜ก Maybe I'm just going deaf. But I have not been able to find a phone as loud as my V551 was in the Motorola arena. So, I'm thru hoping and waiting. Once the w810 comes out (which I also hear has a low earpiece ๐Ÿ˜• ) -but I'll have to see how lo...

some members in howardforums hav gone to the cingular store today, and the sales guy said that the v3i wont be released till october!!!!!! what a sh1tty deal. by that time, this piece of sh*t will be 11 months old. i was under the impression that the krazr will be coming out sometime in october along with the maxx and v3xx sometime around then as well. would cingular still sell this phone in october?

The problem when release dates are posted isn't that the person doesn't know what they are talking about, it's that dates change as different issues arise. (testing, issues) Dates are in front of people, so that's what is posted.

I honestly don't know what is going on with the v3i. The only thing I can assume is it's being held back for the holidays.

As far as the 6682, it's an old phone. It wasn't taken out of the stores for lack of sales. It was taken out of the stores because room had to be made in the lineup for new phones coming out. Stores can't possible stock every phone in the national lineup. Granted the phone didn't fly off the shelves, because it isn't for everyone. It's a very niche phone.

As far as release d...
