I just stopped by the store for the first time in a long time today with a few questions and my old 6340i's display has gone crazy! First I asked about new phones coming out this month. He told no and there might be something in September. ok, whatever. Next I asked about my Euro phone the 7250 can recognize cingular extend towers in Nashville but I get the error message "no access". Response: "Your on your own, we don't us that phone", as he was sending a text message on his phone! I asked why it used to work in Nashville and his response was "Thats wild". I asked then if they could fix my old 6340, he said they no longer had a tech. Ok, not good so far. I asked about my 7250 working in Europe, He said no. ???? He also said I needed a Euro Sim card for any phone to work there, and he did not think they had International roaming for me. I also discovered I was entered in my latest contract in Oct. 2003. Funny I signed my last in 2002. I knew this always showed up on the Cingular website but I just let it go. He said the contract that was signed in oct 03 had no agent code, whatever that is, no location and it was very strange with all sorts of information missing, but he would let me out early for $18??? What the hell is going on? I also asked if he could tell me what frequency bandwidth worked in Nashville, (I still have some hope for my 7250i). He said "he could look all day and not have that informtion" , as he checked his text messages. Is this the worst uninformed store ever or what. I am a little frustrated. If anyone could clear anything of this up let me know. I live in the Murfreesboro, TN, Nashville Area. Do I need a Euro Sim Card, Is There hope for my 7250i and are new phones really going to be availble in Nashville. Where did they find the guy I talked to?
