I am looking to get a new cell phone. After my SLVR had an unfortunate accident (it still works mostly but the screen is full of white lines now) I would like to get a new one anyhow.

I have considered just grabbing the D407. Its small enough and a flip and I rather like samsungs. I also saw the zx20 which looks nice if it weren't just and update ☹️

I would really like the 8125 but the price point and chance of being discontinued soon in favor of the 8525 makes me worried. But I love the Wifi and the slide out keyboard (I miss the speed at which I could text with my old nokia 6800 and my LG9100) and the PDA functionality would be really nice.

My question being, are their any owners of the above mentioned phones who have feedback ove...

Yeah, that phone is prettttttty nasty.

Nasty in a good way.

The 8125 is awesome, whether or not it's worth the price is up to you. But that device truly is fantastic.

I am really considering it, I dont think I care if its discontinued but the 8525 is coming out soon and I understand it has twice the processing power. Will it be drastically more money? Or should I just buck up and get the 8125

I couldn't see it costing that much more.

Maybe $100 more.

Not too familiar with the specs on the 8525, but if it's going to be that much better, I'd wait it out.

The difference in cost would most certainly be worthy of the wait.

I thought it was still using mobile 5.0. I could be wronge. otherwise the only advantage would be the HSDPA/UMTS. Do you live in a 3G market? If not then from what i have heard this phone wouldn't be worth the wait as you wouldn't notice a difference. Do you plan to use medianet to access sites or the wifi? If you only using wifi then once again no point in waiting it out. Any one who disagrees feel free to do so.

well, I will most likely be relying on the wifi. In my market there is no real 3g. but the whole freaking town is covered in wifi. My work, my college, apartments are all full of free wifi. and it would be really useful in that respect. from what I hear the 8525 will have twice the processor over the 8125. Althought I might be wrong because that was just hearsay, I suppose I am kinda looking for someone to confirm or deny that as well. If its just HSDPA then I dont care because my neck of the country wont get that tell 2010 lol ☹️
