Nokia Slacking

Is it just me, but are they really slacking right now?

I mean we have the 6030, nice phone, minus the crappy battery life. Look at the 3120 before it, pretty much the same phone, only this one gets half the talk time.

We have the 6061, but no one wants that, with no screen on the outside. And I've heard this was recently discontinued?

We have the 6102i, which is a really great value. Best phone available in that price range with that feature set. That's the only thing still giving Nokia ground to stand on in Nokia's market.

The 6126, which I was kinda excited for, has recently been postponed/discontinued or whatever. RELEASE IT ALREADY!

And I WAS excited for the N80, until I saw the battery life. 3 hours talk time, for a devic...

As far as price dropping on the 6682, its been out right at a year now, and its dropped $50. That is pathetic.

It was funny tonight, me and two of my buddies that I work with were at the bar. Sitting there, we all pull out our phones to put them on the bar, and we all have the 6682 that we purchased the day they came out, about a year ago.

Nokia isn't slacking. Cingular is. It is their choice not to pick up the new phones that are being developed not nokias.

Well, it is Cingular too, good point, but it's also Nokia.

I mean, in all seriousness, why manufacture a phone with the feature set of the N80 when it only gets 3 hours talk time.

Doesn't that almost entirely erradicate the purpose of getting a phone of that "calibur"?

That is true. I see the models that Nokia manufactures for Europe and Asia and they are nice. Its these carriers in the US that chooses not to pick any of the nice models up.

That's why if you want a nice phone, you have to buy an unlocked phone.

In response to that, Nokia definitely makes the best phones ever. However, with Cingular's dependency on the 850 band, Nokia should really make more quad band phones. They are few and far between, and it seems like the better ones are Triband only.

I'd kill to have an E70 in my hands right now.

But being only Triband, it's a stupid investment. If you could even call it that.

ARG. DAMN YOU NOKIA. DAMN YOU CINGULAR. COME OUT WITH SOME SICK NOKIA PHONES THAT THEY'VE ALREADY MADE NOW!
