Just wanted to see what everyone thought of the phone. I was considering getting it but I didn't know how good it was.

I bought my girlfriend one today actually, i used to use one before I got my blackberry. I liked it a lot...it is a slick looking phone. I still hate the Motorola operating system, but whatever.

i dont know how it "sucks".
Honestly, those of us who work for the wireless industry are kind of snobs. We expect a lot more from our phones than your normal user. Having said that, if you know enough about your gadgets to know how to approach certian issues such as dropped calls (new sim card), and certain OS problems (remove battery and put it back in), than any phone would work.
You could give me any phone and ask what I think of it, and i could tear it to pieces in a day. This is only because i have used so many phones that I know what is annoying and what isnt.
For the average user. If you think it looks cool and you like the features...then get it.

I have owned one for a while, its in my pocket right now actually. It has been a pretty solid phone. I don't have much love for moto's but still. Its been pretty solid. It survived being kicked across a parking lot (don't ask, it was an accident) and being thrown across my apartment (I was mad) and it is still functional which tells me that its a pretty solid phone. Feature wise? the camera is marginal even as a VGA. the menus are motorolas...thats all that can be said about those lol. but if you know how to use it, it is actually a pretty decent phone.

don't throw your phones! why do people enjoy breaking expensive objects? anyway, the slvr is great, if you dish out the extra $100 for a higher memory card, you could actually watch download movies on it (after a lil reformatting of course) other than that, its got an MP3, VGA camere/recorder, loud-speaker, bluetooth compatable, and photo-ID, its a good phone (not meant for abuse ๐คจ )

I think that everyone's assessment that it is a Motorola is correct. ๐ ๐
That being said, I'm sure that knowing that, you're willing to accept their slower software, and horrendous text messaging. Oh yeah, that and no EDGE.
But all of that aside, you really can not beat the music on this phone. (That is, until you get the w810i, or so I've been told). The battery life for music playback is fantastic, and the headset that comes with it is great.
If you don't plan on using the music for it though, and using it daily, then I would not recommend the phone.
As the RF is not as good, the earpiece volume is lower than most other phones, and doing anything on it takes almost two times longer than it would on any other ...

I have to agree! ๐

Of course you agree with me.
I always have the most accurate assessments of everything.
๐
Accurate and honest. That's my moto.
I MEAN MOTTO! HAHA! GET IT?!

๐คฃ hey hey hey, non of that now. you must humble yourself to the wireless gods!!!

Like it, stylish and would never own it. I'm not a huge Itunes fan. It's overpriced for that reason. For the same price there are some better options out there, but I wouldn't complain if it was given to me...
