Anyone with information on when/if this phone is coming to the US? It's currently Tri-band 900/1800/1900, but phonescoop and Nokia's website is stating it has 850 band.....

I want this phone in the worst way....awesome phone with all the features!!

Please help if you have any info....

You bet!!

Just did a side by side comparison of the E70 vs. Treo 650.... not even close!! E70 is far superior....

Just wished I had some "concrete" information that this phone will be truly quadband-unlocked, or Cingular will carry it with 850 band......

mistercrinkles,

I heard this phone is now available in the US, with the model that supports the 850 band. They have the models at the Nokia store in Chicago on N. Michigan Avenue.

Another member posted a forum on phonescoop and told me how he ordered his.

I'm going to call the Nokia store to see if they have any in stock.

I forgot to mention: The phone sells at the Nokia Store for $450.00.

$450 or not, imagine having that phone!

If it does indeed have the 850 band, try and find a place I can order it online.

Any of the ones I've seen available since I started looking were only Tri-Band.

That phone is the uber-sex.

I just called NokiaUSA.com to see if they can be ordered online - they do not have the 850 band phones. They only have the 900/1800/1900 models.

I guess the only way we can get it now is through the Chicago store on N. Michigan avenue, as donaldwatkinsjr said.

I'm waiting until 10am and calling the store to see if they have any in stock.

Too funny!!

OK, HERE'S THE SCOOP. I JUST CALLED THE NOKIA CHICAGO STORE AND THEY DO HAVE A FEW MODELS IN STOCK!!! THEY ARE TRI-BAND (850/1800/1900) WHICH WE ALL KNOW WORKS GREAT HERE IN THE US.

THERE IS A WAIT LIST, SINCE SOME PEOPLE HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS MODEL FOR SOME TIME.

THERE'S TWO WAYS YOU CAN PURCHASE THIS PHONE:

1) PHYSICALLY SHOW UP AT THEIR STORE AND PURCHASE IT YOURSELF, OR

2) IF YOU HAVE A FRIEND IN CHICAGO, HE/SHE CAN GO TO THE STORE AND PURCHASE FOR YOU - NOKIA CAN SHIP THE PHONE TO YOU FROM THEIR STORE. SOMEONE JUST HAS TO BE THERE TO PURCHASE IT.

AS FOR ME, I PUT MY NAME ON THE LIST SO WHEN THEY GET A NEW SHIPMENT IN, THEY WILL GIVE ME A CALL.

NOW I CAN SLEEP BETTER AT NIGHT!!

UGH! UGH! UGH!

YOU ARE CERTAIN IT IS 850 THOUGH?

There is a store in New York!!! It's going to be opening Sept (I think it was Sept. 9th or something like that)..... I have to google the article again....

I am positive it is for the 850mHZ band. That is what the guy from the store told me. The models were just shipped in the last few days.....

My guess is that Cingular might carry this model. I'm asking around some Cingular reps. here in Houston and they're going to find out for me if Cingy will carry or not.

I just heard from a manager at Cingular today that unlocked models cannot send/receive SMS and MMS picture messages. Is that true?

Thanks,

You can get sms and mms on an unlocked phone. Just contact nokia customer care to help u with the settings. Word at Cingular is we will have the e70. But those plans can change the phone kicked ass in testing.

To late 🤣 I have been talking to some people and the device roadmap is changing. A few of the phones have not tested very well. That has caused delays and changes in the phone lineup. There are a few surprises not shockers but surprises. A few phones have graded really well in testing and launch dates have been moved up. I can say no more about that Cingular has leaked 2 much on purpose.

First part of the page it says it's unavailable to order online right now, but you can sign up to find out when it becomes available. I just did that.

All of the versions on Ebay or anything else are 900.

I really hope I can get this phone. AHHH!./

Nonoononononno.

Right now I have the 6682 and the SLVR.

Depending on where I'm going, what mood I'm in, I bring one or both. If I bring one, It's most often the SLVR. For music. But those instances are mostly for Atlantic City. 🙂

If I'm just going out, and don't really need music, I only bring the 6682. It's much more reliable.

If I bring both, which is most often, it's to work, or out to the bar.

I want the w810 to replace my SLVR for music purposes. And I'd like the E70 to replace my 6682.

I text so much, that a full keyboard like what I used to have on my 6820 would hit the spot like chicken wings and a beer.

Mmmmm. Now I'm hungry.

mistercrinkles,

The Nokia store in New York will be opened Sept. 9th!!! Location is 5th Avenue.

Good luck!!

I'll have to wait and order online. Don't know anyone in Chicago or New York (might get my brother to buy for me when he's there in later September). Or I might wait and see if Cingular is coming out with it.

But, I am certain that...
