2125 new vs. 2125 old

on the cingular site, i am zip code 08820. it shows me that the 2125 is 49.99 for new ones, and the refurbished ones are also selling for 49.99. why would the sell the refurbished ones for the same price as a new one? 🤨

the new one u have to pay 200 up front and u get a 150 mail in so if u don't want to wait the 2 months to get ur money back u get the refurbished one
