is a blackberry for me?
I would like my next phone to be a smart phone because I can use the qwerty keyboard to surf the web and send text/mms much faster then a regular phone.also Instant messaging. The only smart phone I think would be suited for me would be one of the upcomming blackberry's(pearl). I say this because this phone doesnt have the complexity of treos or the 8125 or other high end smart phones. But it has a qwerty keyboard,HTML WEb browsing, Multimedia(camera,media player etc) So for a heavy texter,light emailer,real time web browsing, IM and a medium phones user would you suggest a blackberry to me or something else.

I have been a Blackberry user for more than 3 years now. I'm excited about the new "pearl" as well. However, when and if Cingular gets the Pearl (or cingulars name for it) is to be questioned. This phone will be smaller and will not have a "full" keypad. If you have never used the sure-type then you may want to check that out before you buy this phone. It will be the first blackberry with a camera, but i can see the 8700c being updated with a camera as well at a later time depending on how sales go for this new blackberry with camera. I do like my full "qwerty" keyboard on my 8700, however i don't know if a camera is worth giving it up for. hmmmm... you can also get most smart phones now with Blackberry Push.
