PC Cards Help?

Is anyone using the 3G PC Cards right now? I have been using an EDGE card, but I want to try the 3g. I just wanted to know what everyone thought of them.

Also, is there anyway to trade in my EDGE card for the new 3g card without an upgrade? I feel like I really got screwed with the EDGE card, but I didn't realize it until I used my buddy's VZW card. Help me out...

We sell the sierra 860 and it has worked fine. The cingular connection manager isn't totally sweet we usually recomend to download the sierra card watcher off of their website for somereason the connection tends to be more stable. As far as speeds it varries heavily on signal strength. In our store we have run speed tests that match the projected speeds of a 400-700kbps average and it peaking around 1.6mbps. They may offer you a discounted upgrade on the card if you are eligible for the upgrade. If you aren't you would have to pay retail cost. The only "trade in" you can do is to sell your edge card on ebay or something of the sort.

How exactly did you get screwed? We haven't had an EDGE only card to sell for a LONG while and the 3G card came out around November (???).
