JD Powers LOL

For all of the bashing, and people I see getting bent out of shape over T-Mobile fan boys waving JD Powers in their face, I felt I needed to post something to help keep this in perspective.

That is the actual link to JD Powers.

Now, here are some facts.

- The JD Powers survey covered only 27,000. That is pathetic. ESPN gets over 100,000 hits every night for their SportsCenter polls. JD Powers? 27,000 over a prolonged survey.

- The results showed that the people who were polled were totally unobjectional. This gets pointed out all of the time, but Q West runs on Sprint. In addition, Cingular and T Mobile both run on 310 in the southwest.

- JD Powers did no drive testing. ...

I had/sold t-mobile for 2 years they are a fine company to deal with I was very loyal to them. I have/sell cingular now. They are also a decent company. I think it is unfair to bash t-mobile they are a great and sometimes the only solution for some people. Cingular is not theonly company that has 850mhz. Most regional providers utilize 850 as well not just cingular. Look at the pay as you go map compared the the postpaid map and see that we are just as reliant on roaming partners as t-mo is. Especially in the west.

I kinda sorta agree with you on the JD powers survey but when it comes to T-Mo's coverage and phone lineup I think you need to do some HW first... just my 2 cents...

btw, look at all the really nice and feature-rich phones that have been posted on phonescoop lately destined for TMO...

if anything Tmo and cingular are both ahead in the race. GSm is a global standard and far more advanced then sprint, verizon ect.

as far as tmo and cingular, i can really care less on who's better, im with cingular and they satisfy all my wireless needs, GSM is a great and open standard and it is good that cingular and tmobile are working together, once HSDPA rolls out nationwide, the competition will really heat up and hopefully cingular and tmobile will work together to allow hsdpa interoperability

Sorry to bust your bubble buddy... but they are NOT more advanced than Sprint and Verizon... Verizon and Sprint already have 3G networks... and Sprint is already working on 4G network...Verizon is in the works to upgrade their network as well... EV-DO rev a
