OK, I've had the following phones in my life time:
Nokia 6100
Nokia 6200
Moto T720
Moto V400
Moto V551
Nokia 6230
Moto Razr
Moto Rokr
SE w600i
Palm Treo 650
Samsung D407
Samsung D807
Blackberry 8700c
and now the
LG cu500
I AM LOVING THIS PHONE! Alright so my first one sucked. Out of the box the phone wouldn't last overnight without going dead. The replacement lasts a full day of heavy usage including MP3's, Cingular Video, and web surfing!
The camera rocks, the MP3 player was a bitch to get working right due to the inability to play .aac files from itunes, but a free converter download did the trick. I honestly can't find a single thing that I don't like about the phone now that I have all the features working properl...

i got one last month for my a&r line. I also have a VZW e 815. Let's just say that my Verizon phone has not seen the light of day since. I have seen some gripes with this phone though but have not experienced any my self. I have about 59 hrs on a 1gb card and by battey lasts through it all. The cingy video rocks I sold one just cause I was watching south park on it when he came into the store and loved it. Did have issues with a customers hinge but got that fixed right away.

I used my MP3 player for about 2 hours straight today and still had half battery left which lasted me another 4 hours before I hooked up my car charger! THIS PHONE KEEPS GETTING BETTER!
LG is going to work out the little kinks in this phone and next year, we're probably going to see something better, but for now this thing is WAY better than anything else in our lineup! I've got buddies with VZW and T-Mob who are porting their numbers over today for this phone!!

man u all are making me want this phone! i wish 3g was in my area....tear

I've had mine for over a month. We had a UMTS network issue, but that wasn't the phone's fault. Other than that it's had no problems. I think the only feature it's lacking is voicedial, but if you really need that then you can sign up on the service.
I've shown a few people the mobiTV service on it. I subscribe to it just on principle to show people how amazing the quality is. They really can't believe they're watching live TV at such high quality.

The Sony Ericsson W810 made be another on of those phones that people repeat that statements.

Hmm, the fact that Cingular has as many problems as it does with that phone (even your own experience bears that out), and it's an LG (very few LGs have impressed me at all, especially in the long term), I am afraid that phone is going to suck in the long run. I wish you luck with it. 🙂

W810 is a different story though.

Umm I have the LG CU500, and it doesn't say kiss my ass to VZW at all. Infact, Verizon has had several phones that do everything that the CU500 does, except for MobiTV for a while now. LG vx8100, LG VX8300, LG Chocolate phone. And these are just the LG phones. Infact, the LG VX8500 Chocolate phone does everything that the CU500 does, but it also looks a lot better. Lmao, before you rant about kicking someone's ass, make sure you have the facts right lol. 🤣
...
What are you laughing about? I sell VZW, Sprint, TMo, and Cingy. I have tried them all, I test every device that comes into my inventory. The chocolate, vx8100/8300 don't compare in looks, style, build quality, or comfort. Get my facts? Right....

umm, if you are talking about looks.......you would stand alone, if you think that the Lg Cu500 actually "looks" better than the Chocolate. Don't get me wrong, the LG Cu500 is an excellent phone and looks great, but it's looks doesn't hold a candle to the chocolate.
...
I disagree. The CU500 looks much better than the Chocolate.
Mark that up as two against one for now.

actually, it is selling better than the lgcu500 if u must know.
...
Of course it will. There are more EV-DO markets than HSDPA markets in the USA. This is going to change by year's end when Cingular catches up more closely with Vz in the 3G arena. 😈
Don't get me wrong the chocolate looks great and all, but the LG CU500 has full bluetooth and it's more user friendly.
Oh! I forgot to add that we release our phones with the manufacture's original UI. Come on, be real! do you really like those red lines on your screen? They make your screen smaller man...

hey you are right about everything you have said, but I just said that the chocolate's look and style is better than the lgcu500. That is what both mass media and mass public would agree as well. I have both phones, and love that I can use full bluetooth on my cu500, and my own java apps. However, I am a realist, the chocolate looks much better, and then if you take a look at the front page of www.phonescoop.com, you will see the chocolate flip, vx8600 that also looks better than the CU500. I wish the CU500 looked like this phone!! 😎

Yeah it looks better but what about work better? what if i sold you a ferrari with no wheels, no motor, no gas, and no a/c, would you get it cause it looks better? i think people should stop being shallow about looks cause it can only go so far. it will look great one minute, but it will look like crap when you throw it against the wall for not working the way you want it
