First a disclaimer: I do not work for Cingular or a franchisee, so I have absolutely zero inside information.
Cingular has been quiet lately. The new phones have been a trickle. They still have only three UMTS phones. Very few new UMTS markets have been announced, even though they seem to be working very hard on this. It seems to me that they are planning a big splash for the name change to at&t. Any thoughts?

Maybe to a point, but they won't cripple themselves for the holiday season. There are some great phones coming up in the next month or two... And yes, there are some new 3G phones that are going to hit shelves soon.

For 3G? None that I know of yet.. there is a Moto PTT phone due in the next couple weeks though 🙂

Screw Motorola! Show me a SE or a new Samsung 3g phone and I'll be picking one up. Motorola has a lot of catching up to do.
