Question for Cingular sales reps regarding their job

I'm considering applying for a sales position for Cingular. Like everyone else I have many bills to pay for each and every month. I was just wondering , if you don't mind me asking, what an average Cingular rep will take home each month and each year. I'm from the Buffalo area and would apply within there. Thanks!!

depends if you work for an Agent or a Corporate store, Agents usually pay hourly and commision (though some commision only), commision is usually better in an Agent while hourly pay is better in a Corp. Corporate are more strict on appearance while Agents are more pressure about sales.

it all depends on where you go. i personally would try an Agent first cause you can make your own rules, you worry about sales, not fixing problems (that what customer service is for).

Do you about how much the hourly rate is in a store? Also, how does sales in Cingular compare to VZW and Sprint pay wise??

cingular have more options than sprint when it comes to sales and vzw is very competitive, as far as hourly i have a salary about (before taxes) $530 bi-weekly plus commision every month, so if i meet my quotas i usually make around $2k or more a month (including salary)

keep in mind that most authorized agents usually pay better in commision but they can take money out of your pay, for either missing quotas/missing products/ or not collecting deposits

I'm a corp. rep. in the same market as buffalo, ny, the general rate to start is appx. $10 per hour + commissions which depending on store should average $1500 per month easily.
