Financial news just keeps getting better for Cingular Wireless, which reported record net income of $847 million in the third quarter, up 280 percent from last year. Beyond the dollars, though, the carrier is particularly happy about what it is seeing in data usage.
Cingular, now with 58.7 million subscribers, says its average revenue per user (ARPU) for data has jumped 46 percent from the same quarter last year.
