Hey guys, I wanted to ask the corporate sales reps about the benefits Cingular offers to you in the way of health, dental, 401K etc. I spoke briefly with one of the Cingular reps in the mall and he said you are issued a Treo 650 to use but as far as discounts for addtional lines of service you guys get squat.

What are the provisions and limitations the company puts on your phone if any?

Well we can't go into detail about benefits n such.. (policy)

But "most" markets give reps a data phone (treo, blackberry, etc) as an employee phone to demo. Usage limits vary by market. (In my market we have 2 lines as COU's, one data, one regular phone)

You also get two ERP lines (u can use it yourself or give it to someone to use) If you work for Cingular (your profile says you do) You'll find the info on CSP. (search for ERP)

Hope this helps... any other questions, feel free to ask... 🙂

lol about my profile...

I haven't updated it in a long time. I am now a Sprint Nextel Corp employee.

As far as lines of service, we are issued a phone number and service at zero cost to us aside from the phone price. We are allowed to purchase and use any phone on our business line and the service includes unlimited usage of minutes, text, picture mail, data, call forwarding, etc. We do have to pay for insurance if we wish to have that on our phone.

I know if you were to leave Cingy you would have to return the units issued to you, we can keep the phone but will have to convert our service to a consumer plan if we were to ever be terminated or leave the company.

The company also offers us the ability to get up to 6 devices per ...

Whatever phones they give us are ours ,with exception to data phones. In order for everyone to get those, we had to sign an "exclusivity" agreement, we couldn't personally use another manuf device in the store.

The ERP lines vary, but the standard is 1000 min for 1st line, 500 for second.
Both lines get 200 txt msgs, and 50 mms, as well as 5 MB media net. (last time I checked) I don't use the ERP, I haven't looked at a bill in probably a year lol. I've seen other features added for free, but again, it varies depending on who you talk to.

The Demo lines I use are both Unlimited everything, for no cost. There are limits as to how much you can use, but it's set at the market level. I use mine as my only phone (no house phone either)...
