Looks like our network is down for texting and internet at the moment, or at least it is here in Georgia..

Haven't had any complaints but I just tried it in North GA and it doesn't work.

Does anyobdy else feel like this sort of thing happens a little too often? With a company this big, this sort of thing shouldnt happen as much as it does.
We once had an OPUS outage for a whole day...I made a passing comment to my ARSM who was in the store that day asking her if people were gonna get fired for this? She said no. I then told her that if I dont hit my numbers for three months I get fired, so if IT cant get the system that I USE TO MAKE MY NUMBERS to work properly then they should get trained better or get fired.
If I had to work today I would probably be dealing with people who have this issue instead of working to make my numbers. So, I ask again, are people going to get fired for this?

This is the first time I hear about an outage in a looooong time. Can others say this too? Especially the red check mark? I think they've had 3 major ones this year.
Besides, outages will happen from time to time. We have power outages (which has nothing to do with wireless) whenever a storm hits. I'm actually surprised all wireless carriers don't have outages more frequently.

we had a big one in August, and then one that only affected UMTS customers receiving calls just about a month back. At least this one is only text and data.

Texting is down in Texas too. Haven't tried internet.
Oh well, it's a good time to sell people things they don't know they need when they come in to ask about it.
