I really like AT&T Wireless. I just thought I'd share. I like AT&T Wireless, and I know you don't care. But let's all be friends anyway,
And eat chocolate and gum drops every day.

Well, now that you mention it I have always been Cingular rep but I am always amazed at the negative talk around the web when it comes to AT&T Wireless. What really gets me is that I have all these old AT&T customers (both migrated and not yet migrated) and they all just praise the old AT&T Wireless as being the best thing since sliced bread. They don't have many good things to say about Cingular. I speak from market 35 area...does any other reps out there here this? Many locals are always telling me how there service was better with AT&T Wireless and of course how there rates were much better...due to AT&T apparently giving away the store back in the days....I do try to get along with them and bring them into the new Cingular but it ain't ...

I absolutely LOVED having AT&T. I miss the days before the merger. Since then, I feel that it has been downhill. I know ALOT of people dont agree, but I think that AT&T cared alot. They liked to make sure they had happy customers & provided superb service. Some will twist this into "AT&T customers liked getting everything handed to them & expected the world" but that wasnt the case. Many times, if I had a problem, i always got great service. And they made sure to keep you happy. When you contract was up, they made it attractive to stay with them, unlike some carriers now. I mean, after all, who wants to lock themselves into another 2 year agreement simply for a MAIL IN rebate for a measly $50. AT&T at least made all their rebates instant & m...

I only disagree because you never report the facts accurately.
New and existing customers get the same prices from Cingular. In some cases existing get better deals.
Cingular does not only offer mail in rebates. If they offer them they are in addition to the in store discount.
ATTWS gave away the farm to keep their customers happy. They may not have expected the world to start with but after ATTWS gave them the world instead of eliminating issues it conditioned said customers to think THAT was good service. A bill credit is not good service.
You've had the same worthless comments for about a year and a half now yet don't bother to check the facts. Your choice to not check the facts but I won't sit by and let you trash Cingu...

I am still a AT&T/Cingular user. I think the reason we have the perception that AT&T was better is that we were not
actually migrated to Cingular service. At least that's what I've been told. I have to get service from the almost non-exsistant AT&T tower, which I had when I was with AT&T. When my daughter comes to visit with her Cingular phone she doesn't have the same problems as I do.
So guess that goes to prove that we don't have the functionality since we didn't move over.
I worked for a major company and when we merged systems we made sure all our customer were on the same system with the same functions. It would be a nightmare having to have people trained to service several platforms. I don't know why Cingular choose to do ...

and that's why you have to MIGRATE!!! đ
Holding on to your 2+ yr old phone is not going to help you at all. Whenever the name changes back to at&t you will continue to have the same problms... AT&T is NOT coming back. It's just a name change. Tha'ts all..
