Thinking of purchasing a HyTn or Cingular version. Considering which is better the unlocked or Cingular phone. For me the question revolves around the flexibility built into this phone. It seems that you can almost avoid a traditional carrier relationship, use wireless for e-mail rather than data package, use wireless internet for Skype rather than rely solely on a cellular voice package. Use wireless internet for IM rather than text. So, there's the obvious, we're not always near a wireless hub. But why choose Cingular over a SIM card? Cingular does have many international partners, although their voice rates are higher than VW from what literature presents.
