Hey ya'll I'm in the market for a new carrier. I've been having Cingular for the past 2 years and am ready for a change. How do the two compare?

Definately go with Sprint, Cingular is good but I've been much happier with Sprint. And 7 PM nights are the best

You should take the time to see what works best for your situation.. Where I am at Phila Pa I hear mostly complaints about sprint.. YMMV

Take advantage of the trial periods. Try them all and see which one is best for you! 😁

Switching to Sprint will be a change alright. Even T\Mobile would be a better choice....

Too much interference when driving into town. I missed three calls one weekend and didn't get the voice mails until Thursday of the next week. I called them and complained and the told me that just the way it is. I am also going to start using my phone for business and i don't want to miss any opportunities.

I understand the frustration with missing calls. Lets look at this differently. If you are going to use your phone for business you are probably going to use data for email and internet. With cingular you can be using the internet and if someone calls you it puts the internet and hold and you get the call. Once you hang up you resume where you left off. With CDMA I think either one of these happens. You don't get the call at all. If you do get the call you lose the internet connection.

They both have their good points and their bad. I've sold both and currently have one of each. I would ask around, especially to people who spend time in the areas that you do, like neighbors and coworkers. Find out which carrier they have and if they like them. The trial periods that were mentioned before are a really good way to see if a phone/carrier is the right choice for you. Remember, every carrier has people that love them and people that hate them. A lot of it is just personal preference.
