"Cingular" on phone's display...
Does anyone know when ATT's towers are supposed to change over because in Texarkana, in town my phone says cingular but 10 miles outside Cingular Extend.... but Shreveport is completly Cingular now when i used to have the same problem there too??

AT&T towers aren't going to change over, we have roaming agreements with CINGULAR already so that our customers can use their phones no matter what the phone says i.e cinuglar, TMOBILE, etc. the merger between the 2 companies is suppose to go through in December, but our customers at AT&T wireless already have the benefits of roaming off cingular towers. I don't know if that will answer your question or not, but hopefully it will help you a bit 🙂

Well.. when i first got my phone in march, it said Cingular Extend whenver i was not in a cingular coverage area. it never said ATT wireless which is what i was in. i don't live in a cingular coverage area but i was roaming on ATT towers.... but in about april or may, when i go to TExarkana,..... my phone actually says cingular, not cingular extend like it did at one time in the same area.... follow me??
