Nokia N75 release

does anybody have any updates regarding this phone and its release date through cingular?

there are rumblings that this phone might be cancelled by Cingular due to the lack of HSDPA and the high cost of it

according to some cingular testers, the phone is not doing well in testing. 👿

Umm... Where did you hear this from? This phone has been designed from the ground up with both Cingular and Nokia working hand in hand to specifically avoid any problems. I seriously doubt that the lack of HSDPA would hold this up as most phones in their line up lack it.

The reason that I have been told that the powers that be are dragging their feet is due to the network re-branding. Who knows if this really is the case.

i actually heard this in the HOFO n75 smartphone thread.

apparantly, there are some cingular testers who are posting in that thread saying the phone is somewhat buggy and may not be approved by cingular.

Something about counting chickens before they've hatched comes to mind. HOFO is full of BS artists and nay sayers.

This phone only received FCC approval on 11/1. How long does it usually take a phone to become available at retail after receiving FCC approval? Lets just wait this one out before we say it is DOA.
