Unfortunately no, it lacks the 850MHz band. 😢
I wonder why they put the "i" after the model number. That "i" means "international" WTF? Did they change the meaning of the "i" on us? (the Americas) 😡

it will work on cingular's network, just not all of it. you can still any gsm phone with 1900MHz and get service. case in point, i have a friend that uses a SE w900 nationwide. 😉

i always thought the i was for data functionality .... case in point v60i was a tdma phone with improved data connect (i know thats an oximoron with a tdma phone, but i guess the dial up fuction was smarter) but there is no way for a tdma phone to be international

the v60i was TDMA,CDMA,&GSM. I am referring to the GSM version that was 900/1800/1900. This version was sold in cingular GSM markets from 2002 to 2004. our network here in the carolinas only uses 1900MHz, we have no 850MHz spectrum. the network here as been live GSM since 1995. Not for just data, for voice as well. so like I said any GSM handset with 1900MHz will still work on the cingular network, just not as much coverage. 😁
