Cingular Dealers Website
In the forum it was mentioned that cingular dealers have a website that shows coverage areas and signal strengths. Is this true? Can I go to this site to look at the map? What is it?

Its an internal tool, and is updated as we add towers. Shows only our native coverage. Ask any Cingular rep, they will most likely show it to you. I show coverage to customers quite often.

the one for Dealers is accesable only through POS, which is the web based activation tool. Give me your market info, meaing city state zip, etc, I'll see if i can download or save them and send them to you

actually, it's availabe through the sales portal which can be accessed through any net connection...i use it at home all the time and at my g/f's house. it's not just accessible through pos.

i wish it would show roaming areas also...it would be even more helpful then.

just a question for you, do you activate phones online? If you sell Cingular Wireless I think all of it's dealers whether it be exclusive or non-exclusive or whatever, you should have access to this. http://salesportal.cingular.com if you have a username and password for POS.COM or POS.COM II you should be able to access this with no problem from anywhere on the internet!
