No.

BB connect comes in two forms.

BES if you need to connect to your company from behind a firewall for $45 a month.

BIS for the individual user who wants to use POP3 email for $30 a month.

Those are your only two choices.

Okay I have the BIS unlimited for $30.00, but Cingular told me I had to buy text messaging for $4.99, because when the emails are pushed to my phone and they alert me they are in the form of a text message. I want to know if this correct. I thought that just came with the Blackberry Connect and that was the beauty of it - that I could get emails forwarded to me. I didn't realize I had to buy another text plan. So does this make sense? And do I have to have the text plan to avoid extra charges.

no, that is not correct. they wanted to get another feature sale off of you. you only need the unlimited blackberry to receive your email. text is separate if you do a lot of texting, but there is no text charge for receiving emails.

That's kinda what I thought, but I did not want to be charged for all the junk mail being sent to my phone. So I added it until I could clarify. Thanks!
